A goal nobody can measure is a preference. Here is how to turn ambition into indicators your team can act on this quarter.

Most strategy documents fail quietly. Not because the direction was wrong, but because nobody could tell, three months later, whether the organisation had moved.
A useful indicator changes what somebody does. If the number moves and no decision changes, it belongs in a report, not on a dashboard. Work backwards from the decisions your leadership team makes each month.
Indicators decay. Review the set every quarter and retire anything that has not influenced a decision — a shorter list that people trust beats a complete list that nobody reads.
